Subic Island, Sorsogon

My family is pretty tight-knit. Meaning: me and my cousins are almost always together and we always organize out of town trips. And this just one of them!

The last time we all went outside Manila was when we stayed in our condo in Pico de Loro for 3 nights. Imagine this: 20 people inside a 30-ish square feet unit. It was so much fun!

Anyway, last June, we went to Subic Island. Nope, not the one near Zambales but the one in Sorsogon. It took us about 16 hours of land travel to get there. But it was worth every single minute and every single near-death experience because it was breathtaking. The water was crystal clear, probably the clearest I’ve seen. Unlike Boracay, the islands were untouched and there weren’t a lot of people. The best thing about Subic Island was there weren’t any electricity to it gets really dark at night. I can’t even begin describe the stars and how amazing it was. I finally saw the stars I’ve been seeing on Google Images. It was perfect.

I wasn’t able to take photos of the stars because I left my SLR at home and my iPhone and GoPro weren’t really the best tools for long exposures. So here are more photos of the beach instead! Trust me: Sorsogon > Boracay
